Raider Roster

Overview

What is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women!

As Face on Fire has grown we've become more focused on the endgame, and it's become increasingly important to establish a guild ranking system. The purpose of this page is to give new and existing members a coherent explanation of our guild's hierarchy, and to list our raiding core. Our Roster is designed around the concept of reducing competition amongst classes while giving us a flexible core of raiders. That said, we understand: real life does happen. In the event that you will be missing a raid, make a post on the AFK Forums letting us know. If you are going to be late, simply contact an officer or post on the AFK forums. We will hold spots for Raiders up to ten minutes past pull time, after that we will fill the spot.

Progression raids start at 6 PM Server time; invites begin at 5:30 on a first come, first invited basis with Raiders given priority, then Members, then Nooblets. Explanation of Ranks can be found on the bottom of this page. Weekly Raiding Schedule is shown below.

Explanation of Ranks

Overview

As Face on Fire has grown and become more focused on the endgame it's become increasingly important to establish a guild ranking system. The purpose of this page is to give new and existing members a coherent explanation of our guild's hierarchy. If you have any questions, comments, or corrections please contact Khaas.

Summary of Ranks
Nooblet: This rank is for new recruits, nooblets do not have access to the guild bank, or guild bank repair funds, etc. Nooblets can however, participate in raids and begin gaining EP normally, however Nooblets are at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to raid invites.

Friends and Family: Face on Fire has a very friendly, laid back environment. As such, friends and family are always welcome. The same rules apply for these people as members, if F&F member ever decides they want to apply for Raider status they can do so, simply make a post on the Raider Application Thread.

Alt: These should have the persons main in the guild notes, this is simply so we can keep track of who's who.

Member: The general membership: these are members who are not regularly expected at raids, due to scheduling conflicts, gear, etc. In the event that a member wishes to receive raider status they simply need to make a post on the Raider Application Thread.

Raider: Raiders are voted into position based on several criteria, including performance and attendance. Raid status carries several benefits, primarily raiders gain preference when deciding on loot (legendaries and quest items like Key to the Focusin Iris. Raiders do NOT get preference on normal loot drops) and raid spots in the event that we have an excess of interested people for a particular raid.

Officer: These guys are here to help, if you need advice on getting the most out of your character. Or if you're unsure of your role in a raid, etc. This is who you should be talking to.

Inner Council: The simplest way to put this is: Inner Council members are founders of the guild, officers who've been with the guild since the beginning. Those of us in this position have known each other through various games over the years, before WoW was even in Beta.

Guild Leader: All hail the Queen and her consort, Exvanlane and Pizda.

Gaining or Losing Rank, and the Vote

Initially, recruits start as a Nooblet for a trial period of two weeks. Tuesday is not only WoW's maintenance period, it's also the guild's maintenance period: all status changes will be decided at that time and made as soon as the server maintenance allows.

Some members PVP, some are just around to hang with friends, others only log on once in a blue moon: then there's the raider. As you can see from the raid roster, we've got a 30 slot raid roster: the design of this roster and the limits to classes there are to encourage class diversity in the entire raid and to minimize competition in a given class/item type. No more than 3 of any class is present.

Members if you are interested in gaining Raider status, it's as simple as writing a forum post, you can see the full instructions on the Raider Application Thread. You will also need to ensure that you have atleast two pieces of frost resist gear, flasks, and the appropriate updated addons for progression content. If you are at all unsure of what specifically you'll need for raids, don't be afraid to ask. Eligibility will be considered and voted on by officers during the weekly maintenance following the raid status request. Do not ask for raider status if you don't plan to raid.

Ways to lose raider status: repeatedly poor performance or attendance. If a raider is missing raids consistently for a period of time, they will be demoted to member status. Remember always that lack of raider status in no way means we do not want to raid with you.
